The Institute is designated as the official educational arm of the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S). GDI offers a variety of accredited educational, vocational and skills training opportunities for the province’s Métis in partnership with the University of Regina, the University of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology, the province’s various regional colleges and the Métis Employment and Training of Saskatchewan Inc.

Métis Family Community Justice Services
Métis Family & Community Justice Services of Saskatchewan, Inc. (MFCJS) was incorporated in 1992 to help empower Métis communities to address the social and justice issues facing its people. Its mandate is to promote the spiritual and cultural well-being of Métis people throughout Saskatchewan by ensuring that:
• They live in safe and harmonious communities;
• They are treated fairly and with dignity by the various agencies and institutions that constitute the justice system; and
• They have access to a range of family and community justice programs and services which are consonant with Métis culture, values, beliefs and traditions.
The focus of MFCJS is on supporting the delivery of community-driven social and justice services that value and utilize the wide range of geographic and demographic needs and resources within the Métis Nation. Its priority is the promotion of strong Métis family values as the core of the Nation. MFCJS envisions an environment in which Métis children are protected and cared for by their families and communities. By drawing on the knowledge and experience of its Elders, programs and services are delivered in a holistic, culturally sensitive manner.
Over the past 17 years, MFCJS has implemented various initiatives ranging from the Aboriginal Court Worker, Community Justice Development, Social Development, Community Action Program for Children, Community Justice Implementation, as well as numerous other short-term services.
MFCJS is governed by a Provincial Board of Directors consisting of the MN-S Minister, representation from each Métis Nation-Saskatchewan Region, Métis Women of Saskatchewan, and Métis Youth.

Provincial Métis Housing Corporation
Provincial Métis Housing Corporation (PMHC) on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) provides technical services for SHC Home Repair/Adaptation programs. PMHC conducts inspection services on behalf of SHC in the province of Saskatchewan, except northern Saskatchewan and the City of Regina.
Home Repair Programs are targeted for low-income homeowners to upgrade their properties to minimum health and safety standards to extend the useful life of the home by fifteen to twenty years. Home Adaptation Programs provides financial assistance to low-income homeowners who require modifications to their home to maintain independent living or to accommodate persons with a disability.
