The Health Department is currently investigating opportunities and processes necessary for the collection of Métis-specific health data. Preliminary discussions have been held to develop a plan for what data would be collected, how it would be collected, what indicators will be tracked, and purpose of data collection. Important in these discussions have been issues of ownership, control, access and possession of Métis health data.
